Google pushes into Android Pay With mobile payment launch in US




Google Inc said it will launch Android pay an application fee of one-touch on Android devices in over 1 million locations in the United States on Thursday.

The surcharge can be used by Android devices with Near Field Communication (NFC) and KitKat Google OS 4.4+.

Existing application users can access Google Android Wallet Payment through an upgrade, while new users can download from the Google Play store in the coming days.

Google shares rose 1.4 percent to $ 652.74 in afternoon trading. The company said the surcharge could be used in stores operated by companies such as Aeropostale Inc, Macy's Inc, GameStop Corp and Staples Inc.

Android payment will be available in more places in the coming days and more features are added to it in the coming months, Google said in a blog.

Android support payment credit cards and debit payment networks of American Express Co., Discover Financial Services, Inc and MasterCard Inc and Visa cards issued by banks such as Bank of America and US Bank, among others.

Google said Citigroup Inc and Wells Fargo & Co. to the list are also added in the coming days. As part of the security service it is supported by the security card service standard "tokenization" of the industry.

Service tokenization replaces random numbers for data credit card user when a trader transmits transaction data, reducing the risk of theft online.

The application will come pre-installed on new phones with NFC mobile operators AT & T Inc., T-Mobile USA Inc. and Verizon Communications Inc.
