Replacement For the Alluminium Body Apple Watch Series For Free

Therefore, your Apple Watch Series 2 or Series 3 aluminum suddenly breaks at the edges ... but you don't remember hitting anything or being particularly hard on it.

Surprise! It may not be your fault at all.

Apple says they have determined that "in very rare circumstances," the screens of the Series 2 and 3 aluminum watches are developing cracks that can be wrapped along the rounded edges.

The good news?
If Apple determines that the screen crack is caused by this newly discovered problem, it will replace the screen for free.

The bad news?
It is not the kind of thing that can be fixed at the Genius Bar, so repairing it means sending the watch to Apple and running out of it for more than 5 days.

(It seems that the type of cracks they are looking for are quite specific: they are looking for cracks that developed around the rounded edges. So, if you really dropped something on the clock and the screen was erased You probably can't get a fast one here.)

As observed, Apple has a complete list of watches that will be covered with this New Screen Replacement Program here. The company says that all eligible Series 2 and 3 aluminum watches will be covered by this new screen replacement program for 3 years from its original retail purchase date, or one year from today, whatever longer.
