Apple could already be working on folding devices with a probable launch in 2021

Folding devices could become the next category of devices adopted by various manufacturers and Apple could be one of them. According to a new UBS survey, the Cupertino giant is probably working on the development of a folding iPhone.

As reported by CNBC, the UBS consumer survey found that Apple consumers were ready to pay a premium price of around $ 600 for folding products. He said Apple was "constantly working" on technology to take out such a device next year, but 2021 is more likely when it is announced. While UBS believes that the company could be working on both an iPhone and a folding iPad, an iPad could be the first device to appear in the headlines.

While Samsung tops the segment of folding devices, the Galaxy Fold's screen began to break after reaching the reviewers. The company removed all defective devices and is now working to release an updated version. However, UBS said Samsung has many IP presentations for folding screens and related technologies, so it is likely to lead the way in this category. Apple also has a series of patents for folding screens as reported by 9to5Mac, and is likely to be working on more.

UBS says the idea of a folding smartphone has a "reasonably high" appeal to more than a third of consumers surveyed. Among them, China will be the market with the highest demand.
