Watch out! Chats Hangout can be used by anyone supports Google
This could set alarm bells ringing in your head and yes they are in their justified in being a little paranoid about this form. According to recent reports and self-confirmation from Google, which has come to our attention that Hangouts, the messaging application Google Talk which replaced earlier this year can be easily wire-tapping.
What this means for users is that when Google has required all final permit to access the conversations taking place and even share the same with government or security agencies in time of need. All these revelations shared by Google itself and through a Reddit AMA earlier this week, the search giant confirmed that Hangouts has not been equipped with encryption end to end something that is used by Apple for its products FaceTime and iMessage .
Without the support of the aforementioned security, users are left in the lurch, completely unaware of the fact that their chats could get used by unknown entity. The data exchange processes have become a common practice these days with countries like the United States and the United Kingdom ask Google, Facebook to share user data for their own purposes. It has not really been that proactively seen in India, but who really wants to have even a chance after knowing all this? And if you have this fear (which is quite understandable), so why not move on to something much safer (encryption-wise) that venues.
