Apple CEO Tim Cook speaks of 6s iPhone, Siri and iOS apps privacy
Shortly after Apple launched its new models of iPhone, Apple TV and iPad Pro at a recent event, CEO Tim Cook speaks of Siri, iOS apps, and more recently launched products. In an interview with BuzzFeednews, Tim Cook spoke to the news site for 20 minutes as it was on the way to a surprise visit to the Fifth Avenue Apple Store.
Cook said the way surprise or unannounced visits are good for everyone, including him. Tim Cook was joined by Eddy Cue, top deal-maker of the company and Apple VP Greg "Joz" Joswiak.
When asked about the privacy implications of Siri, he explained how users can decide if they want Siri. But he went on to add how the information is in the device and not return to Apple. He added that the company does not have access to information.
"Hopefully people will look at our position on privacy in general, and know that we are not trying to operate out of a fairly clear line we are drawing. I hope people trust us to do right there," he added Cook.
Cook also led the defense of the new models of iPhone 6s declaring how 'is not a problem year off' and there is a substantial change. He defended the devices that speak about the new features such as stronger construction, better camera and 3D Touch.
"I think my efficiency is way up with a 3D touch, because I can go through as many emails as quickly. It really cut a series of navigation steps to get where you're going," he said, while touting 3D function .
Cook also talked about one of the most interesting aspects - whether Apple will allow delete preinstalled applications. He also admitted that some applications are not essential. He said over time the company will find a way. "It's not that we want to aspire to real estate is, we are not motivated to do so. We want you to be happy. So I recognize that some people want to do this, and it's something we're seeing," he said.
Speaking of the iPad Pro, Cook explains how people can never buy a computer that the iPad does everything that people want to do with your PC. However, it also adds in the way Mac will be a key part of Apple.
