Microsoft flagship Lumia 950 950 XL to launch in late September or October




Amid great release of Microsoft Windows 10, reports its next two flagships have also surfaced. A report indicates that Microsoft plans to launch both Windows Central Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL in late September or October at an event in New York.

The Lumia 950 codenamed 'Talkman' and Lumia 950 XL with a "Cityman" codename are premium phones. Although previous reports pointing to a launch of IFA, now there is speculation that the company can prevent other products the event can outshine Microsoft premium devices.

If the report is to be believed, these are not the only Microsoft plans to launch phones. The company reported Lumia 850 also tests codenamed "Saana" Lumia 650 and codenamed 'Saimaa'.




The Lumia 950 or Talkman reports, a 5.2-inch screen with resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels sports. Under the hood, you can expect a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor with 3 GB of RAM, 20 megapixel rear snapper, 5 megapixel front camera, 32GB storage and 3,000mAh battery.a2

The largest, 950 XL or Cityman, will come with a 5.7 inch screen, and almost a similar set of features. Aside from the larger screen, some other distinguishing features will be an octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor and 3,300mAh battery.

Both smartphones support wireless charging Qi and an infrared scanner to unlock the device within seconds. Although ZTE has already introduced the iris scanner, it is still not a feature commonly found and could become a USP of the device. Both also feature USB Type-C and dipped in white or black matt polycarbonate.

The company also said it is working on other phones with Intel technology, but details are scarce at this time. It expects the phone to run Windows 10 and built using metal. It plans to launch early next year in Q2.
