Aplenty of Android flavors, but no One are good!
Ask any person who offers the best mobile experience and the most hands will get up to Apple's iOS ecosystem. We are giving Apple the benefit of the doubt because they deserve it not for certain loyalties, but for what it offers. Although the devices are expensive and limited to the limitations of their parents ecosystem; consumers are still hooked to the brand for its full value.
This closeness on iOS has often been part of the main topics of discussion, but compared to the fragmentation of Android these days; Apple itself made great favor by sticking to their guns. Android is currently available in various iterations and flavors (to v5.0) but the skin interface has been designed by few.
Brands such as Xiaomi, OnePlus, Gionee and Oppo among others, are some of the Chinese representatives who prefer to opt for non-stock Android look something seen especially in Nexus or Motorola devices. Indian counterparts have also tried their hand with customized Android operating system and have the likes of Xolo and Infocus doing their bit here.
The need to differentiate the look of Android is understandable and we appreciate the amount of work that went into making sure that it is not an Indian brand with experience of software that best fits. A lot of money is pumped into the software aspect of the devices too, but here are the people of truth, it is not true that the right is resolved.
During the last 8-10 months, we have found the phone with software that is near real Android avatar anywhere and at first were excited to see Indian brands play their part. But all was not as one might have expected and most of this is the fault of the general configuration in which software development is done.
Clearly speaking from a technical point of view the nuances, it is difficult to see the reasons for a country pulling through millions of engineers "from year to year, but still missing something. Is there a balance between the designer and developer work ensuring a stable platform software?
Most of the brand have told us quoting big numbers that will create the operating system and get the team, but is that there is less to show for their efforts. One has to understand that creating a competitive ecosystem requires high level of knowledge and furnished processes to be executed with precision.
Our cry is to all mobile segment there. Spending money on a product that is worth and not just for the sake of creation. Here's hoping for a better future software.
