WWDC 2015: Here's What it seems,New Apple OS X EI Capitan Is Out
Apple just made its Developer Conference (WWDC) 26th World Wide opening at the Moscone West convention center in San Francisco. As expected there were a lot of announcements regarding Apple operating systems across platforms. The new version of OS X has been dubbed Captain OS X, iOS 9 it will be the new mobile operating system iPads, iPhones and iPods and eventually the operating system of Apple Watch also received an update in the form of watchOS 2. Take OS X out Captain.
The OS X Yosemite has an update in the form of OS X El Capitan. While there was no way spectacular new features that are showcased with Captain, seemed rather a refinement of the features in Yosemite. Craig Federighi Apple was on stage running through the features. The announcement OS X Captain could be broadly classified into two sections: The experience and performance.
Performance Captain
Take the first performance as Apple says it has made significant improvements with OS X El Capitan. Apple has brought metal to the Mac OS, which gives the games and applications direct access to the graphics processor in your Mac. This helps with fast graphics processing, Metal also allows the CPU and GPU to work more efficiently. In terms of performance improvements, Apple says it has been a time 1.4x increase in times of launching applications, 2x improvement in speed switching applications up to 4 times improvement in opening PDF in Preview and so on .
Apple also made an important announcement with the programming language Switft Swift 2 2. There is now a programming language open source.
Experiences of El Capitan
Mac OS X has finally gotten the Split View mode, which lets you work in two applications simultaneously. This feature, which has long been available in the Windows operating system, allows you to fill the entire screen space with two applications and you can decide the proportion of area to give each application. It helps a lot to research, for example, where you can have a browser open on one side and open a Word document in another application. Split view lets you see both applications simultaneously and reduce application switching time.
Safari browser has a boost with features such as pinning tabs and quickly identify the tabs that have audio is automatically played. Now you can set up Web sites to the tab bar and noisy tabs will be displayed in the address bar where you can mute audio playback unwanted. These features have been present in the Chrome browser.
Spotlight search will have the ability to use Siri to search terms in natural language. For example, a query such as "Help me find documents that was working yesterday, a list of documents you were working yesterday will pull up. Similarly the Spotlight application can also search time, actions and games.
Center mission control has also been some improvements in design of open windows. In case, you are not active on the system and left suddenly groping the cursor, you can shake your finger back and forth on the trackpad or mouse gives a major shock to see the increasingly large cursor so it is easier to detect.
With Mail, you can now use swipe gestures to archive or delete an email; you can work between two mails simultaneously and drag and drop links or pictures of other post in which he is currently writing; Compose Mail window you can now have multiple tabs, in effect, allowing you to compose multiple messages at once. If an email that you have a new contact or an event present in it, which can be pushed directly to your contacts or calendar with a single button 'Add'.
The Notes application has been improved somewhat. You can now make a checklist, take notes, photos, scribbling in the notes, add URLs or even add a location map. All Notes will synchronize data across all your Apple devices via iCloud. Again, a feature that is not really earth shattering. But one interesting part is that Notes gives you the ability to see all attachments such as pictures, map locations, sketches, URL addresses in one place, allowing you to sort through these different data types.
The Maps application will have added support for public transport. This feature is applicable only in select cities around the world will have detailed information on public transportation systems such as trains, subways, buses, along with route maps, schedules of these means of transport and detailed maps of the designs transit stations.
